Important: By using the Foreign Service Network platform, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, you may not use the platform.

1. About FSN

The Foreign Service Network ("FSN") is a private technology platform that provides digital infrastructure to honorary consulates, consulates, and diplomatic posts. FSN is not a government agency, a ministry of foreign affairs, or an official diplomatic body of any country. Membership is voluntary.

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the FSN platform, including the member console, post websites powered by FSN, the global directory, and the marketplace.

2. Eligibility and account

FSN is a professional platform. Access is limited to verified honorary consuls, consular officers, diplomatic staff, and affiliated professional organisations. Applications are reviewed by FSN and may be declined at our discretion.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.

3. Platform description — not official government content

Content published on FSN — including on post websites — is authored and managed by individual member posts. FSN provides technology infrastructure only. FSN does not verify, endorse, or take responsibility for the accuracy or completeness of content published by member posts.

Visitors to post websites should be aware that this platform is operated by a private company, not by any government. For official consular or diplomatic information, contact the relevant foreign ministry or embassy directly.

4. Acceptable use

By using FSN, you agree not to:

Publish false, misleading, or defamatory content
Impersonate any person, organisation, or diplomatic body
Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation
Spam other members or visitors, or send unsolicited commercial communications
Collect or harvest personal data from other users without their consent
Upload content containing malware, viruses, or malicious code
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform
Use the platform in a way that could damage the reputation or standing of any diplomatic post, FSN, or any third party
Reproduce or claim official government status that you do not hold

5. Content responsibility

When you publish any content on FSN — including posts on the Info Wall, news items, events, CMS pages, marketplace listings, or any other user-generated material — you confirm and warrant the following:

You have the right to publish it. You own the content or have obtained all necessary permissions, licences, and rights from the relevant rights holders. You are not infringing any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property right.
It is accurate. The content is truthful and not misleading. You are not making false statements of fact about any person, organisation, or entity.
It does not defame anyone. The content does not contain statements that are defamatory, libellous, or damaging to the reputation of any individual, organisation, or diplomatic body.
It complies with applicable law. The content does not violate any local, national, or international law or regulation, including laws relating to privacy, data protection, export control, and diplomatic protocol.
It does not infringe on others' rights. The content does not violate the privacy, publicity, or other personal rights of any third party.
It is appropriate for a professional platform. The content does not contain offensive, harassing, or discriminatory material, and is consistent with the professional standards expected of diplomatic and consular personnel.

FSN may remove any content at any time, with or without notice, if it determines in its sole discretion that the content violates these Terms or is otherwise inappropriate. FSN is not obligated to monitor or review content before publication, but reserves the right to act on content that comes to its attention.

You indemnify and hold FSN harmless from any claims, damages, or costs (including legal fees) arising from content you publish on the platform.

6. Content ownership and licence

You retain ownership of all content you publish on FSN ("Your Content"). By publishing content, you grant FSN a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, store, and transmit that content as necessary to operate the platform.

FSN may remove content that violates these Terms or that we determine, in our sole discretion, is otherwise inappropriate.

7. Marketplace

The FSN Marketplace is a professional exchange forum for economic development opportunities. In addition to these Terms, marketplace participants must agree to the Marketplace Rules of Conduct presented at first access. FSN does not broker, guarantee, or take responsibility for any transaction or communication initiated through the marketplace.

8. Privacy and data

Your use of FSN is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

9. Intellectual property

The FSN platform, including its design, code, trademarks, and documentation, is the intellectual property of the Foreign Service Network. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from any part of the platform without written permission.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The FSN platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We make no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content published by member posts.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, FSN shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform or from any content published through it. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to FSN in the twelve months prior to the claim.

12. Suspension and termination

FSN may suspend or terminate your access to the platform at any time, with or without notice, for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your licence to use the platform ceases immediately.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify active members of material changes by email or by prominent notice on the platform. Continued use of FSN after the effective date of any change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the territory in which FSN is registered.
